On November 11th,1989 Victor Davis, a gold medal winning Olympic swimmer was struck by an allegedly drunk driver in Montreal.

Our family chose to donate his organs and we have never regretted that decision. We would later learn the Victor’s gift would impact five people. Some are alive today thanks to his donations.

2009 marks the twentieth anniversary of his loss and to honor his memory and to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation, I will be cycling from his home town of Guelph, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec. I will be stopping at hospitals and organ donation centres along the way, including Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital.

If you would like to join me on this ride check the schedule posted here. I would welcome any and all riders who wish to come along.

And sign your donor card!

- Greg Davis

Greg & Team, In case I can submit my cell phone number for direct communication-514-795-3567. The Second Annual “E” Challenge Golf Tournament has been scheduled for September 24th, 2009 and we are desperately seeking your support. As you may know last year I was very ill with this disease and required a double lung transplant. After a lot of determination, perseverance and the support from TAFF (The Alexander Family Foundation) I was able to obtain my organs and operation at the TGH (Toronto General Hospital) in early February of 2009. A miracle is the best way to describe this new opportunity for life! Unfortunately there are many others who are waiting for this same opportunity, “Pulmonary Fibrosis” is the silent killer and the disease is spreading through-out the world at a rapid rate with no cures available presently. In fact there are as many people becoming affected by this disease as breast cancer and unfortunately the overall population is unaware that the disease even exists. It is so important that we receive your support so we can find a cure for this disease since transplant at this time becomes the only option to life! Unfortunately transplants are not available for everyone. We need your help to raise funds for research, educating the public, assisting other patients and lobbying the governments to help find solutions for success. We hope to see you out at the second annual “E Challenge” Golf Tournament to help support those waiting for a second chance at life. I urge you to discuss this with others so we can spread the word and support this urgent cause. God Bless,
